Pink Wine Bottle Study

A delicious pink wine bottle from Redhook for Yansheuw's friend. She doesn't read this blog, so its still a secret. lol. Anyway, Yansheuw and I are continuing our painting studies as our escape from the digital, and to sharpen our eyes. I found alot of things very relaxing and frustrating about physical painting. Mixing colors is a pain, but its also relaxing. You end up spending more time with your subject, studying the colors as you mix. In photoshop, you can always just sample your reference, but that encourages a certain laziness. The color your eye perceives sometimes is wrong because of the adjacent colors interacting with your perception. I find that mixing colors forces me to study how colors are interacting with each other. This may be obvious to most, but its nice to put this to practice with physical paint. Some purists will note the lack of an under painting. Sorry, I'm just being experimental.

Left4Dead:Tokyo The Guzzler

Hoarding fuel in anticipation of the zombie apocalypse, Zed never expected to become infected in his own fuel safe house.

In its normal state, The Guzzler is a slow lumbering mass of muscle and fuel-laden flesh, carrying a dangerous payload of highly flammable fuel. The Guzzler's explosion causes massive splash damage to adjacent zombies and survivors foolish enough to be in range. Adjacent zombies ignited by the Guzzler's flames gain a temporary frenzied attack rate and increased resistance to damage. Once engulfed in flames, the Guzzler also attacks in a frenzied state, until its flames are extinguished or is burnt to death by its own flames.Headshots, chainsaws, kitanas, and ranged weapons are highly recommended.

Part I of a series of Left4Dead:Tokyo characters. Inspired by the anime Highschool of the Dead, I figured I'd take a shot at making zombies vs. highschoolers in Japan. The zombies for Left4Dead:Tokyo have a more fantastical anime bent to it.
